ADVERTISING ID POLICY

Last updated: July 1st, 2019

Webedia is committed to safeguarding your information in relation to its use of Android Advertising IDs (AAID). The purpose of this page is to make you aware of what this information is used for, how your data is used, and to explain how to opt out of it.

What is an advertising ID?

An advertising ID is a unique identifier in the form of a string of characters, that can be reset by the user.  It is used for advertising purposes.

From your first use of the app, we can, subject to your choice indicated, share this identifier with our advertising and analytics partners. Each time you reopen the app, the phone will be able to reshare this identifier for you as an existing user.

Sharing identifiers is important for the proper functioning of the app. In particular, it allows us to:

Examples:

Your advertising ID can from now on be sent to our partners. However, this cannot happen without your consent. As long as Webedia has not obtained your consent, your advertising ID can not be sent to our partners.

How to manage identifier sharing settings

Your choices are never permanent. You can opt out of sending your ID to our partners at any time.

The configuration of each mobile operating system is different for managing your identifier. Be aware that setting your phone to opt out of sharing your identifier may reduce the functionality of some features. We will in no way be held responsible for this.

Please note, if you do this it will apply to all apps installed on your phone.

For Android:

  1. Go to your phone’s “Settings”
  2. Click on “Google”
  3. Click on “Ads”
  4. Check the “Opt out of Ads Personalization” option

Ads will still be displayed on the app, but they will no longer be targeted and will be less relevant. This will also limit your experience:
